Jedes Jahr findet vom 07. bis zum 10. August in Kyoto an der Gojozaka-Straße östlich vom Kamogawa das große Keramikfest namens kyōto gojōzaka tōki matsuri statt. Die Gojo-Straße ist bekannt für ihre Keramikgeschäfte. Vom Kamogawa bis zum Otani-Mausoleum haben sämtliche lokale Geschäfte und Ateliers auf dem Gehweg Stände errichtet und preisen ihre Keramikwaren an. Von wunderschönen Teetassen über lustige Katzen bis Krimskrams findet man hier alles. Teilweise sogar zu noch günstigeren Preisen als sonst. So habe ich schon ordentlich zugeschlagen und besitze inzwischen hier fast mehr Keramikwaren für Tee als in Deutschland. Hingehen und anschauen lohnt sich auf alle Fälle!
